Two weeks ago, the ESRs Karoline Lang Mathiesen and Aline Dragosits had the pleasure to visit INNOVATEDIGNITYs consortium partner Ældre Sagen in Hjørring, Denmark. They got to know the broad spectrum of activities which are offered from Ældre Sagen for the elderly in the community such as visiting service, visiting friends and were even involved in the weekly gymnastics. J Gurli Kirkedal introduced them to the activities wich are organized by Hjørring commune in relation to elderly and dignity and Mette Jacobsen from the Volunteer Center told about her daily life supporting volunteer clubs in the region. Furthermore, Karoline and Aline visited the nursing home Skovgaarden and were able to chat with Helle Tyndal, her colleagues and a lovely resident about their daily lifes. They are quite impressed about all the activities which are going on to ensure well-being and dignity for elderly in Hjørring.
